This image was taken as we traversed the Congo in our 1997 Land Rover Defender 300TDi. Crossing the Pool region of the Congo we paid a visit to the Louna river and the Gorilla’s that live on its islands. And somehow our subject stayed still long enough to capture a portrait or two. This is the second of our portraits of this incredible animal.
