This image was taken immersed in the middle of a voodoo ceremony. A ritual asking for the blessing of Mami Wata. The room was small. Full of people. Sweat dripped from all the practitioners. But no one cared. It was a moment of pure joy and celebration. A moment offing present and giving thanks. A moment of pure human spirit.
This print is part of our ‘Limited Time Prints’ and will be available for only one month from the airing date (12th July) of our Overland Travel Photography Adventure Film, Voodoo Unmasked. Check out the story and watch our journey through this mesmerising country here.
